Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using StudyShare's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the service, including browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and contributors of content.

You must be at least 13 years old to use StudyShare. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the service and that they have agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

StudyShare is an online marketplace that connects students for the purpose of buying and selling study materials, including but not limited to class notes, study guides, practice exams, and educational resources.

We provide the platform and tools to facilitate these transactions but are not directly involved in the creation, sale, or delivery of the actual study materials. The quality, accuracy, and legality of materials are the responsibility of the users who upload them.

To access certain features of StudyShare, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You may not create multiple accounts, share your account with others, or use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

By uploading content to StudyShare, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the right to use and distribute the content
• The content is original or properly licensed
• The content does not violate any third-party rights
• The content is accurate and not misleading

You grant StudyShare a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on our platform. You retain ownership of your content and may remove it at any time.

All users must comply with our Community Guidelines and maintain respectful, professional conduct when interacting with other users.

StudyShare facilitates transactions between buyers and sellers but is not a party to these transactions. We charge a service fee (currently 15%) on each successful sale.

For Buyers:

• All sales are final unless materials significantly differ from their description
• Refunds may be issued at our discretion within 7 days of purchase
• You are responsible for ensuring materials meet your needs before purchasing

For Sellers:

• You must accurately describe your materials
• You are responsible for the quality and legality of your content
• Payments are processed weekly, subject to our minimum payout threshold
• You may be liable for refunds if materials are misrepresented

StudyShare respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. You may not upload or share content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

Prohibited content includes but is not limited to:

• Textbook pages, solutions, or excerpts
• Published academic papers or articles
• Copyrighted images, diagrams, or figures
• Licensed educational software or materials

We will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using StudyShare, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

You may not use StudyShare for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the platform or other users. Prohibited activities include:

• Uploading illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
• Engaging in fraudulent or deceptive practices
• Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users
• Attempting to circumvent our security measures
• Using automated systems to access or scrape our platform
• Facilitating academic dishonesty or cheating

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked, but previously purchased materials may remain accessible.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, suspicious activity, or other reasons at our sole discretion. We will provide notice when possible, but immediate termination may be necessary in severe cases.

Upon termination, outstanding payments owed to sellers will be processed according to our normal payout schedule, subject to any holds for disputes or violations.

StudyShare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy, quality, or reliability of user-generated content
• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That the platform will meet your specific needs
• The conduct or reliability of other users

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of materials uploaded by users. Users are solely responsible for their interactions and transactions on the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyShare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of StudyShare shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by email or through our platform. Your continued use of StudyShare after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
